HR Generalist

AdGear Technology (a division Samsung Ads), is an Advertising Technology Company located in the heart of Old Montreal. The Samsung Ad Platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory.

What you’ll do:

The HR Generalist will be reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead within AdGear, a division of Samsung Ads, supporting recruitment, human resources and other administrative functions while also helping in building the AdGear brand and employee experience.


Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem-solving.

  • Partners with the HR team, recruiting team, and management to develop and implement company-wide people programs and processes
  • Conduct employee onboarding and new hire orientation
  • Facilitate the integration of new employees within teams
  • Facilitate the employee experience
  • Ensure teams’ positive work environment, make a diagnosis and propose solutions for teams to grow and work efficiently
  • Provides coaching, counselling and/or programs to address business issues related to areas such as development, engagement and retention
  • Coaches managers on performance management issues and support on implementation performance improvement plans
  • Ensures managers and employee compliance with company policies and procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring employee morale
  • Directly and indirectly involved in conflict resolution, employee concerns, administration of broad employee programs and practices
  • Support the recruitment and selection process
  • Preparing HR documents and provide reporting and data analysis
  • Updating internal HR databases
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy including career path and compensation models
  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Responsible for the company HR monthly newsletter
  • Analyst and Project Management role in the adoption of small scale HR Systems; Assessing needs, formalizing requirements, assessing HR software, conducting the implementation and deployment



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources  
  • Broad knowledge of current and cutting edge recruitment trends and methodologies
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in both official languages
  • Computer literacy, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience with HRMS
  • Exceptional work ethic, energetic, with strong values and principles
  • Good team player but able to work well independently and with minimal supervision
  • Flexible, accommodating and able to go above and beyond the basic expectations when required
  • Thorough knowledge of the entire recruiting life cycle coupled with high candidate presentation to offer acceptance ratios
  • Strong communication, organizational, evaluation, and negotiation skills
  • Solid business and human resource acumen coupled with a strong sense of urgency and drive for results
  • Strong project management experience combined with the ability to problem solve and influence at all levels of the organization

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • CHRP would be considered an asset
