Associate Product Manager

AdGear (belonging to the Samsung Ads business), is an Advertising Technology Company located in the heart of Old Montreal. AdGear focuses on enabling brands to connect with Samsung TV audiences as they are exposed to digital media across all devices. Samsung has developed a proprietary ad platform that leverages unique first-party TV data to help brands connect to their audience as they explore content across desktop, mobile, tablets and our SMART TVs. The Samsung Ad Platform delivers a high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, data science, and brand-safe cross-device ad inventory.

What you'll do 

As a member of the product team, you will report to a Product Manager. The chosen candidate will be joining AdGear at an exciting time of growth and opportunities, where associate product managers are key contributors to the evolution of the core platform. As an Associate Product Manager dedicated to the supply and operations side of our product:

You will:

  • Work closely with a Product Manager to define the strategy, onboard content partners and shape the roadmap of the TV Plus product (Samsung owned ad supported streaming platform)
  • Assist the Product Manager in the evaluation of new supply integrations and programmatic partners
  • Support the ad operations and product team on rollout of new operations focused features and products
  • Test features post-launch to ensure proper function
  • Research and analyse stakeholder pain points
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify feature details and prioritize backlog
  • Document functional specifications, map transaction flows, and operational processes

  • Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum format.

  • Contribute to product vision and roadmap

  • Available to the scrum team to clarify requirements and make decisions

What we are expecting of you:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters in a technical field such as Computer Science or Computer Engineering or in an analytical field such as Business or Economics with a strong interest in technology;

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in software development;

  • Experience with advertising technologies and the digital advertising ecosystem;

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (English and French) to collaborate interact with cross-functional teams located across multiple cities and continents;

  • Goal-oriented, detail-oriented, ambitious, and strong ability to follow-through on commitments;

  • Passionate self-starter who shows a lot of initiative, stays ahead of problems, and has a sense of ownership and responsibility;

  • Collaborative nature to work closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams;
